Draft Xtreme's Draft Review Rd 1 Pick 3

by NGL Personnel

Welcome to Draft Xtreme's draft review presented by the NGL.

Here you’ll find a pick by pick breakdown of each 2018 NGL draft selection. We will give our analysis of each draftee.

The first annual NGL Free Agent Draft was held October 1, 2018, and featured athletes from across the country.

Round 1 Pick 3
With the third selection in the 2019 NGL Free Agent Draft, the Arkansas Twisters selected a small school quarterback from Ashland University, Travis Tarnowski. A tough and undersized quarterback Tarnowski will remind Twisters fans of current Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield.

Tarnowski's most prominent strengths are the fact he is tough and he shows up to compete for every snap. A strong-armed and well-built athlete Tarnowski also displays athleticism outside of the pocket. His athleticism will allow the Twisters to be creative on offense causing league defenses troubles.

As the highest selected quarterback, expectations are high for the former Division II star. Tarnowski drew the interest of NFL scouts and was a viable 2018 NFL draft prospect, but standing at only 5-foot 11-inches teams were hesitant to commit. The Twisters will provide an opportunity for him to prove his doubters wrong so the league needs to be on notice. Twisters fans are hopeful that Tarnowski continues to shine and provides the team with a star presence under center.
